Texas Performing Arts Center Texas Performing Arts has brought international performances in music, theater, dance and stage to the University of Texas since 1981. Large-scale touring Broadway productions and concert attractions are also open to the public and round out the Performing Arts schedule year after year.

The arts presenter brings performances to all six of the university's different venues, most notably the Bass Concert Hall. The 3,000-seat theater hosted Texas Performing Arts first presentation, which was the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Since then, a wide selection of talented performers from around the wold has graced the stage, including Ella Fitzgerald, Robin Williams, Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Royal Ballet of London, Carol Burnett, Cary Grant, Victor Borge and Marcel Marceau.
